    Additional Location Information
Cabuya town is situated at the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula and is the entrance to Cabo Blanco Reserve, which was the first nature reserve in Costa Rica. Cabuya is a quaint fishing village that is lesser known than it’s more developed neighbours, Montezuma and Mal Pais/Santa Theresa. The three towns create a triangle on the peninsula with Cabuya ideally situated just 7km from Montezuma and 10km from Mal Pais.

Cabuya is less well known than the other areas and this has enabled it to retain it’s Tico charm and tropical way of life.

Anyone wishing to experience classic Tico living should try a night or so in Jeffry's cabina in Cabuya, Nicoya, CR. 'Rustic' is an apt description, as there are gaps in the walls, floor, and here and there-the ceiling. There is a ceiling fan (which you will definitely need as the Nicoya coast can get quite hot), and a kitchen of... more

Anyone booking this cabina is looking for basic simplicity and that's what you get, but everything is neat, clean and functional. It is located in the heart of the village, specifically within yards of the road and the house of the friendly and helpful owner Jeffry, and he and his family are rarely out of sight if help is needed.... more
