Although Vallandry gets little mention in the ski brochures, it has a wealth of opportunities for skiing all around the area of Les Arc and Plan Peisey, more than enough variety of runs and areas to satisfy intermediates and experts alike. A week of active skiing still left plenty of runs unexplored and the variety of heights and areas allowed skiing despite the days when snow fell and visibility restricted at some levels.
There are plenty of bars providing hot & cold drinks and dining both around the slopes and evening resort areas, although being France, could not be called cheap, but good quality. Several area were accessible for walkers, by gondola, pedestrian chair lifts and cable cars, and free area bus service. The PVR chalets enjoy splendid views over the resort, excellent support with daily fresh bakery service.The price for the view is that evening walk back from the village has a sobering climb to bear in mind ! more
