We stayed at the one bedroom Beach Retreat for 3 weeks in Aug 12. The garden was part of the beach, it was so peaceful, the views were wonderful. It was very basic but nice, who needs much when you have the beach and sea at the bottom of your garden. The owner, Ian was a nice guy and very helpful and so were all the people who worked with him. This place is ideal for a couple wanting to get away from it all, you could buy wifi, which did not always work, but this is what you expect from places like this in Africa, and this place did not have a TV, which suited us. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the bedding and towels were clean and changed very regularly. Any problems we had were sorted very quickly and professionally by Ian and his team, but remember this is Africa and quick does not always mean straight away in Africa, it will get done when it is possible if waiting on a parts etc.
