although we only stayed for one night we had wished it had been for longer. we had driven through the sequoia national park earlier in the day and the roads had been fairly challenging. so it was great to be met by such an amazingly relaxing setting. the property is based right by the side of the river. we received a warm greeting on arrival and soon got to know the friendly cats too. in the evening, a fire pit was lit and even though it was october we sat out into late evening with a glass or two of pinot noir.
