    3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8

Tucked away just a short distance from the ski lifts at Vallandry, Nancroix is a sleepy retreat from its lively neighbour.
The traditional farming village remains undiscovered – and unspoilt – by the hordes. Sheltered by mountains, galleried wooden farmhouses huddle around a miniature baroque chapel.

There are no shops or bars to shatter the tranquility, but the village is home to one of the region&#...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014 for a stay in December 2013

My family of 5 had the pleasure of staying in this picture perfect Chalet over Christmas. With the huge windows bringing in the most perfect winter wonderland views and the well stocked kitchen, we could not have wished for a better place to spend our Christmas.
The bedding was extremely comfortable, which is very important after a day of skiing. We had plenty of room in the Chalet for our family of 2 teenagers and a 5 year old, plus many a evening we had visitors. The Chalet is beautifully appointed with everything you could need. We loved the roaring fireplace and the huge supply of wood. Thank you to the very kind property managers who brought in a Christmas tree for us and decorated the apartment. There is a great bus service which operates just outside the Chalet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The bedrooms are dark and inconvenient, every time you rise your head up you would hit the beam of the ceiling. It is absolutely traumatic for anyone with height over 1.6m. The sockets are few and located in places that can be hardly reached e.g. behind the bed right in the middle. The lane that leads to the entrance to the house is covered with ice which is never cleaned and it is very slippery. Furthermore on top of the ice the lane is covered by dog's poop which makes a potential slip and fall even worse. The only good thing about this chalet is that it is located right above the L'Ancolie restaurant which is absolutely amazing and highly recommended to everyone. more

Management response:

I am very sorry to hear you feel your stay in Nancroix Secherie was not satisfactory. It is an old Hayloft on the top floor of a traditional Savoyard building and as expected does have beams. We have tried to show in the photos that the beams are there and that the head height in the upstairs bedroom is lower... more
