At the risk of this place being unavailable next time I want it, I would like to say that it was everything I was looking for. I needed 2) walking distance to AT Conservatory and Harpers Ferry 3) kitchen and laundry facilities and 3) roomy and comfortable. It met all three criteria and more.

My Appalachian Trail-hiking guests and I loved the wifi connection and big TV downstairs - which we were able to hook up to Netflix - as well as the sunny kitchen and patio. The owner makes it easy to check in and out, and the Cafe is just steps away, on the corner of Gilbert and Washington. Great food and service. Definitely hoping to come back when winter arrives - as there is a woodstove available as well.

This house is conveniently located in the town of Harpers Ferry. There are tons of hiking and biking opportunities. World-class small mouth bass fishing area. Within 10 miles are some of Virginia's finest winery's that often offer music and festivals. There are five National Parks in the area including Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, Antietam National Battlefield Park, The C&O; Canal Park, the Appalachian Trail Park, and many other state parks.

Six miles from the house is Hollywood Casino and Slots and Charles Town Races. Enjoy the day touring the historic towns of Charles Town and Shepherdstown, and of course Harpers Ferry.
