Stayed here in September 2013 for a week with another couple and 18 month infant. The house is in Paia, which is a very pleasant and laid-back surfing/hippie town on the north side of Maui, well away from the crowds and chain stores of Lehane. It has some pleasant beaches and is on the road to Hana, with great simple cafes/restaurants and clothes/souvenir stores and an all-organic(!) supermarket, as well as a great cycle store with very nice road bikes. Very interesting characters. Only downside is the winds from 10am in the morning which make beaches less pleasant, although does keep the house cool.
Paia bay house is a 5 minute walk from town and easy ten minute walk through town from the nearest beach. It has a stunning direct outlook on the bay, but no direct water access. Feels very spacious with plenty of space & privacy for 2 couples/families. There is a huge queen bedroom with ensuite & lanai & beautiful water view upstairs, and a double bedroom behind... more
