We just returned from a stay at D506 Kihei Akahi. What a great experience!
First, the location is great. We drove and walked around Kihei quite a bit and agreed that this location is the best. The building is at the back of the property but on a hill so there are still great views of the ocean. It is also within walking distance of shops and restaurants and across from Kam II, a beautiful beach.
The unit itself has everything you need. The kitchen has great appliances and lots of space if you want to cook. The dishwasher didn't work when we were there (we told the office) but we didn't really need it so it wasn't a problem. It's likely an easy fix so this didn't affect my review.
On other sites reviewers mentioned that the view is lacking or that the description of an ocean view is misleading as it is a partial one. We did not find this to be true. This unit has wonderful ocean views, albeit interrupted by a palm tree or two. Sure, there are...
