We rented this three bedroom house in a very residential area of Kilahuea for three weeks. The house plan was very open and we had lovely views of the ocean and the river valley. There was acreage with the house and every morning my husband picked oranges from the trees and made me fresh squeezed juice. We also made fresh lemon-limeade from our citrus trees. The area was very quiet and the stars were very bright. We tend to choose rentals that are on a ridge with an ocean view rather than right on the beach. Much less traffic and noise pollution.
The only compliant that I have is that the fabrics on the outside furniture needed to be changed as did the towels and cushions on the inside furniture. Sometimes the rental homes are just that and sometimes the homes are rented out when the owner is not using them. If it is a truely dedicated investment rental than fabrics should be in tip top condition with nice towels and comfortable sheets. Outside of that one observation we were very... more
