For those seeking tranquillity within a natural setting yet within reach of all facilities, this superbly appointed air-conditioned town house enjoys one of the very best locations within the lush and idyllic El Cortijo Grande valley. Three 18-hole courses are within 20 mins drive, and the international Desert Springs golf resort is 30 minutes' drive. The major beach resort of Mojacar Playa is a 15-minute drive away. There is go-karting at Garrucha and a Water Park at Vera, and plenty of white hillside villages to explore and enjoy beer and tapas. The unspoiled terrain of Almeria has been the setting for countless famous films such as Lawrence of Arabia (the village scenes were filmed in Mojacar Pueblo) and the film studios and sets for the famous spaghetti westerns at Tabernas (only 40 minutes' drive) are an unmissable day out.... Charming and really well-equipped town house with amazing views over the Cortijo Grande valley. Very peaceful and comfortable acommadation. Owner met us coming off the motorway and we followed him down to the house. A lovely welcome pack of drinks and food was there for our arrival. Very comfy king-size bed. The air con was very welcome during the hot August nights. Lovely area, loads to see and do. Owner Jim was very helpful in making our holiday memorable. A return visit is definately on the cards! more

Very impressed with the abundant information that is left for anyone staying at this accommodation, everything you need to know is there. The placed is clean and very welcoming. The owners put themselves out to make your stay as nice as possible. Have already booked our next stay there.

On the ground floor is the large lounge / dining room with air-conditioning / heating unit, 'Rustica' fireplace (decorative only), comfortable seating for 5, dining table with 4 chairs, bookcase, coffee and lamp tables, 32' Panasonic TV plus DVD player and satellite TV with many UK free-to-air channels. The French doors lead to the private rear terrace with dining for four and brick barbecue suitable for instant barbecues. There are excellent transport and motorway links. Cortijo Grande is about 45 minutes from Almeria Airport, and the stone-arched entrance to Cortijo Grande is less than 3km from junction 520 from Junction 520 of the major European motorway - the Autovia del Mediterraneo.

Murcia San Javier airport is an hour and quarter away via the stunning new AP-7 toll motorway. Alicante airport is just over 2 hours away via the same motorway, but has a wide range of flights. Best to pick up a hire car at the airport. Drivers will relish the quiet roads - not a traffic light for miles!
