5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

we were originally supposed to stay here in February. but due to bad weather the owners were wonderful and rescheduled us for April. it was a totally relaxing weekend.enjoyed the long walks on the different trails. the wonderful view while enjoying my morning coffee on the front porch. everything you need is provided. wonderful antiques throughout the cabin make it very cozy. I thoroughly enjoyed cuddling up on the couch after a long hike and taking a short cat nap. we will definitely be back again. more

Management response:

We are so glad you visited us and enjoyed your stay. The beginning of spring is a wonderful time around here, especially after such a snowy winter. We look forward to welcoming you back anytime. more

Wonderful little cottage off the beaten path just outside Lexington Va. We had scheduled this place as we needed to find a place that took dogs but was close to VMI as our son had a sleepover there to see if he might want to apply. The day before we were do to arrive we/they had a massive snow storm with something like 13"s there. Making our way there it started snowing again and we got another 3. Without 4 wheel drive we never would have made it up to the cabin or back out again the next morning at 0 dark 30. Great little cabin with everything you could want in a private mountain retreat. There are a couple of cabins close by but not visible. We may go back in the summer. Only downside - wood stove. I've never messed with one and it proved to be a real pain to get going. There was plenty of wood - just no newspaper and all the kindling was wet.
Overall pretty neat place and would stay again

Management response:

We are so glad you braved the winter storm and stayed with us. Though the roads were challenging, the views on the property were amazing. I hope your son enjoyed... more
