We are a family of 5 with three young active kids (9, 8 and 4) who are quite used to staying at vacation rentals in New England, as we usually need the extra space, additional amenities and outdoor/sporting facilities or opportunities that commercial hotels/lodges are seldom able to provide in a single package. To be honest, we took a chance with this vacation rental as there were no prior reviews. The decent price, availability over the weekend, its proximity to Jay Peak and the owner's responsiveness tipped our decision in its favour.
The kids were immediately taken with the quaint loft bedroom and the nice spacious backyard with lots of snow and a gentle slope that allowed plenty of sledding, frolicking and snowball fights. Our family spent hours by the gas fire place in the cosy living room playing card games, watching videos, reading and just bonding. The warm colors of the interior, rugs, quilts and eclectic collection of antique decorations gives the place a nice homey...
