Friendly reception. I went with a group of about 20 ladies for a retreat. The place has a quaint lobby that makes me feel at home. Great stone fireplace in the lobby as well as an antique piano that was like nothing I've ever seen. The ceilings had large beams and the rooms were decorated in keeping with the area mountain culture. They had a stack of family games that we used some evenings. They had a TV and we used it once to watch a DVD that someone brought. Modern pool and hot tub available, but it was too cool to us the pool. Our retreat group loved the spacious kitchen since we chose to use it for many of our meals. There was plenty of room in the two refrigerators, stoves, and counter space. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Great pillows. (I'm a fan of good pillows) The location is near to Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge (Dollywood) which gives you many options for activities! Cades Cove was a beautiful place to see deer and wildlife.
