I stayed here with my husband and infant in July 2013. The part that I liked about the cabin was its seclusion and large property. The view was nice. The cabin itself was disappointing.
I did not realize when we booked the cabin that it allowed smoking: that was my fault. It definitely smelled like stale cigarettes. The cabin looked like it was updated it the 1970s or 80s - the carpet, furniture, jacuzzi, and bedding looked out of date. We found mildew in the bathroom. There was food in the sink when we arrived.
Under the amenities listed were a washer and dryer. This was important to me since we had an infant. When we went to do a load of laundry, we saw a sign that the dryer was out of order. We decided to go ahead and wash a load anyway, since there was a clothesline, but when my husband went to start the washer, the water didn't turn on.
I begged my husband to find us a hotel, but we were attending a conference and didn't have time to find another place... more
