    Property description
    Rental Home –
    1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2
This charming bush cabin was originally constructed in the 1860s by a timber feller on the outskirts of Melbourne. The building was dismantled and painstakingly reassembled in Beechworth between 2004 and 2007. It has been carefully restored to its former glory and has retained the atmosphere of a simple 19th-century settlers’ hut, without skimping on 21st-century luxuries. 1860 Luxury Accommodation is full of character; the decor is simple yet elegant and every effort has been made to provide everything you could possibly need for a stylish self-catering stay.

With an open fire, double bath, leather lounge, king sized bed and full kitchen, 1860 overlooks Spring Creek and the surrounding parklands of Lake Sambell.

From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and 'at home'. The property itself is simply stunning and has clearly been restored with much love and respect. The location is perfect and the owners have thought of everything in terms of comfort, relaxation and style. The best country stay we've ever experienced; it's truly unique. We'll definitely be back! more

Management response:

We really appreciate your review, thank you. We are so pleased you enjoyed your time at 1860. If you come again try a different season. Autumn is divine and winter with the open fire is lovely and cosy. Cheers, Gina more

This was not our first time to stay at 1860 and it won't be our last. We had a wonderful weekend thanks to the beautiful weather and the very comfortable stay at 1860. Our hosts provided us with the perfect location for a badly needed rest away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's in a very quiet... more

My partner and I had the opportunity to stay at 1860 last weekend and we were so glad we did. You can tell there was a lot of love put into this property. For Matt and Gina to move it across Victoria is evidence of that. As is the wonderful attention to detail in the workmanship and decoration/finishes for this... more
