    Monmouth is easily accessible from the UK motorway network. London is about 3 hours away by car and almost all of the UK is within a day's drive. The cottage is in a rural area and the last few miles are on quiet country roads. Detailed directions will be sent on booking. The nearest airport is Bristol International. Easyjet and Ryanair both fly into Bristol and it is an easy car journey from there, taking about 1 hour. On the way, you will cross the River Severn to Chepstow with its castle, and then through the Lower Wye Valley with its cliffs and forested banks to Tintern, passing close to the Abbey, then crossing the River Wye twice before reaching the market town of Monmouth where shopping is easy and interesting from where it is only a 10 minute drive to Becher's Cot... more

Really nice cottage, spotlessly clean. Ideal for families or two couples as it has 2 bathrooms. The dishwasher was a novelty for me ( not having one at home) . I would imagine if you were there for a week, the washing machine & airer would also be of use. The views across the fields are amazing. The owners directions...

A lovely cottage, well equipped and managed by 2 of the most amenable people around. Well worth the money. Central for the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Some good local(ish) restaurants. We will stay there again in the future. more

Very well equiped cottage with very friendly owners living nextdoor. A beautiful and quiët surrounding with lost off nice towns in the neigborhood. We dit a lot of nice walks in beautiful wheather. We very much enjoyed our stay in the cottage off. John and Edwina. more
