    Fisherman's Cottage, which was originally built in 1775, has undergone modernisation in Spring 2013 but has kept much of its original design and features. Located in Cromarty on the tip of the Black Isle.

    Accommodation & Facilities

    In the lounge you will find 2 two-seater settees, a coffee table, a television with Freeview, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a wood burning stove. A complimentary basket of logs will be supplied. There is also a range of games and books. The lounge is decorated and furnished to preserve the character of the building but at the same time keeping a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

    Railway: Inverness: 22.4 mi
    By Car - From the South - Follow the A9 north until you reach Inverness. Continue along A9 toward the Kessock Bridge roundabout. Across the roundabout over the bridge (2nd exit). Continue on the A9, after crossing the bridge, for approx 1 mile then turn right along the B9161 (sign posted for Munlochy & Cromarty/A832).

    After approx 3 miles you will be in Munlochy.

    Continue through Munlochy until you reach the T junction as you leave the village. Turn right toward Fortrose along the A832. Continue through Fortrose then Rosemarkie and follow the road up the hill out of Rosemarkie.

    Continue along the A832 and you will reach Cromarty approx 7 miles from Rosemarkie.

We stayed at Fisherman's Cottage 3 nights in late November while visiting relatives in Cromarty. What a lovely place! The owners have created a pleasing, inviting ambience. The location was very good, only a block from the waterfront. Everything we could have wanted was there in terms of appliances, etc. Bed was very comfortable. Fisherman's cottage was lovely & it is 1 minute from the beach. You can immerse yourself in the area & not have to travel far. The dolphins come into the bay or you can wander up to the cliff & view them out to sea. Go out on the boat with the local company, but do book in advance because... more

This is a truly lovely house. Stylish, warm, comfortable, cosy, clean, with lots of character and everything you need. We had a great time exploring this beautiful part of Scotland, good base for walking and, of course, dolphin spotting.
