I stayed here with a friend so it was a bonus that we could both have a double bed each.
The cottage was clean and comfortable on the whole and in a very quiet setting, but little things like a stained food cupboard, left-over pots of jam and other bits in the fridge and dirt behind the bathroom taps took the edge off slightly. The shower in the double bedroom is also looking a bit tired. The September evenings were a bit chilly but the central heating was very efficient - we only put it on for an hour downstairs and the whole place was warmed through.
On the occasions that I had to contact the owner before the holiday she was always very friendly and helpful. Work commitments meant she couldn't meet us with the key on arrival so she arranged for someone else to do so, but perhaps a keysafe would offer more flexibility to visitors rather than having to arrive at a certain time.
