    Part of an old Lakeland barn, this romantic and contemporary hideaway in the unspoiled village of Staveley overlooks the River Gowan and is conveniently situated to explore all the Lake District has to offer.
    Sleeping up to 3 adults and an infant, the cottage has one double bedroom, with vaulted ceiling, and views onto the river and hills beyond and one single bedroom – also with river views. Downstairs, the relaxing lounge has leather furnishings, TV/DVD; hi-fi with radio, CD and MP3 player. Its full length patio doors open onto a balcony overlooking the river – perfect for al fresco dining and bird spotting!
    The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, phone and coffee maker (as well as everything else you'd expect!) and a separate dining area.

Three things matter: 1. This a brilliantly designed, presented and equipped cottage, bijou but more than adequate for 3. 2. Its in Staveley which is a robustly thriving village - pubs, cafes, supermarket, butchers, bakers and its own brewery with a jumping brewery tap for heaven's sake! 3. Its in the Lake District! I'll start by saying that for the right party at the right time of year this house would be fine, possibly even quite nice.
