Staying at this condo building is kind of confusing, because they are topnotch at locking doors, all doors. So, you check in with the security (who is IN a room at the condo entrance). (Who knows what you do if the guard or admin isn't in there--maybe piggyback in with others going up?) Go up to your condo, get keys, then bring all your stuff up. I thought the locked doors into and out of the pool area were a bit much, especially if you are with a gang of teenagers, it is inconvenient.
However, the condo itself is great, with wonderful views of the ocean AND the intercoastal waterway. We had never been to Wrightsville Beach and the town is enjoyable, although we cooked in and didn't visit the restaurants, except the ice cream shop! The local souvenir shop, Wings, is tacky, though.
The Ft. Fisher Aquarium is one of the best I have been to. We will definitely go back to that.
Oh, bring a knife sharpener. You will need it. more
