This cabin is fabulous! A perfect place to visit for our Anniversary. Parked the car and didn't get back in it for 2 days. The amenities were first class and the views were spectacular. Absolutely perfect place to stay for our Blowing Rock wedding and Honeymoon. The Cabin is beautiful and the views are breath taking. Joanie and Gary are wonderful. Cant wait to come back and stay again soon.

Beautiful house-the word cabin doesn't do it justice. The views are gorgeous and the Kilkellys have thought of every last detail! We will definitely be back soon.

The CABIN is on the highest ridge of Jake's Mountain, at an elevation of 3,260'. It is less than a third of a mile from the Bamboo Gap entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway (milepost 285); a short 3 mile drive to the town of Boone; and less than 8 miles down the Parkway to Blowing Rock. Being our closest attraction, the Blue Ridge Parkway is the largest National Park in the US. It alone offers the most scenic and dramatic views of the mountains of western NC, as well as numerous hiking trails, horseback riding, biking, river rafting, river/lake canoeing and fishing, picnicking, cascades, waterfalls, and dramatic rock outcrops. There are several historical sites as well, like the Cone Manor Estate. Distances to a few more popular places include: Grandfather Mtn. 19 mi.; Mt. Mitchell State Park 71 mi.; Linville Gorge Falls 34 mi.; Banner Elk 22 mi.; Asheville 100mi.; Appalachian Ski Mtn. 6 mi.; Hawksnest Ski Resort 18 mi.; Sugar Mtn. 22 mi.; Beech Mtn. 28 mi.; Charlotte 100 mi.; HEAVEN 0 MI.!
