The pretty village of Ambeyrac is the setting for Maison Dyson. Set in the north of the Department of the Aveyron, a little known department which deserves to be better known, the village is a 5 minute walk to the River Lot which divides the Lot and Aveyron departments. The countryside is truly beautiful with cliff bordered rivers, causse (heathland) and rolling hills. This is the France of your dreams, timeless, tranquil, an area to make your heart sing. Fantastic food and good wines are to be found throughout the region.

Anne was very welcoming and even picked us up from the train in Figeac when we arrived. The Gite was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed eggs from her hens and did an afternoon of french cookery with Anne in her amazing kitchen. There were lots of great things to do in the surrounding area also. Highlights would be the walk through the Saut Mill Circuit in the Alzou Valley, the caves at Pech Merle and the Fortress and town of Najac. We also bought delicious food at the market at Ville Franche. The weather was fantastic and the kids managed two swims in the pool. We would love to do it all again. more

Management response:

I'm really pleased you enjoyed staying in the Gite. You were a lovely family and I thoroughly enjoyed your stay, especially the day we spent cooking together and the meal... more
