The historic 1880 House is situated on 3 streets. The original part of the 1880 House was actually built in 1850 as the Land Office. The front of the house is on Rte 11 and overlooks the downtown section of Pulaski NY. One side of the house is on River Street - that overlooks the famous Salmon River. The 3rd side of the house is on Jefferson Street that overlooks the County Courthouse and village park and Gazebo. We have 2 parking lots, both on River Street. One is at the house and our overflow lot is about 100 feet down River Street from the house. We have 3 golf courses in the area and for the beach lovers we have Sandy Island Beach with the only natural sand dunes in NYS. We are only 1 hour from the 1000 Islands and Alexandria Bay, with boat tours and Bonnie Castle. An hour and a half to the east is Old Forge a great Adirondack town with Enchanted Forest for the kids and boat rides on the lakes for all. Try your hand at fishing in the summer on Lake Ontario for the Salmon.... more

Since it was off season right before the salmon run, we rented the whole 1880s House instead of having it as a bed and breakfast for my annual "Girlfriends Reunion". All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We were located right on the Salmon River, and got to enjoy watching all the fishing activities. Pulaski is located near Syracuse, Oswego, Thousand Islands, and Kingston, Canada. We took side trips to nearby Lake Ontario and enjoyed the beautiful parks, beaches, and harbors. Uncle Sam's boat tour out of Alexandria Bay to Boult Castle and Thousand Islands was a highlight. The 1880s House is nicely decorated with antiques, but still very livable. The kitchen is well supplied with everything and since the owner lives on premises, she is gracious to attend to every request. For fisherman, she has it set up to store equipment, wash clothes, and ice down the fish. All is organized and efficient. As abed and breakfast, she is known for having wonderful soups available... more

We just returned from our annual girlfriend's reunion at the 1880 House in Pulaski, NY, and it was a wonderful week. We rented the entire home which is available in the summer, and later becomes a B & B mainly accommodating the fisherman who come for the abundant salmon fishing in the Salmon River right next to the house. The house is well-equipped for cooking, grilling, TV watching, game playing, and with large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. We enjoyed activities in the area...Uncle Sam Boat tour of Thousand Islands and Boldt Castle, state parks with beaches & hiking, fishing in the Salmon River, Erie Canal Museum in Syracuse, ferry to Canada, tour of historical Sacketts Harbor and tour of the historic fish Hatchery nearby. Linda, the owner was so helpful and efficient making it a pleasant stay for all of us. more
