    This sandstone steading enjoys an elevated position with commanding views of the surrounding rolling counrtyside. It has great outside entertaining areas in the form of a west patio and a large east patio. The house is located in rural Perthshire but is within 20 minutes of Perth or Dundee city centres. There are shared gardens and a shared tennis court. The property is on a very small farm.

    The steading building is in an L shape and can sleep up to 10 in 5 twin or double bedrooms. . There are 2 patios for eating and entertaining, one is on the west side and the larger one is on the east side. Both have glorious views of the surrounding countryside.

    We have tried to be as environmentally friendly as we can with our holiday houses. When we converted Pitfield (Pitmiddle and Outfield) from farm buildings into accommodation we kept the same footprint so some stables are now bedrooms! We have used reclaimed wooden flooring and the houses are powered by a geothermal ground source heat pump. Our water supply comes off the hill and is filtered in our water treatment area before going to the houses. All our fixtures and fittings are sourced locally.

    In order to increase our green credentials even more we are now excited to announce that we have just put up a small 18 m wind turbine on the hill behind the holiday houses. It is only an 11 kw turbine but we hope that after its first year we will have generated enough kw hours to cover our...

We rented the three cottages Outfield, Pitmiddle and Honeysuckle for a weekend event celebrating my 60th birthday. We stayed at Pitmiddle which was the two cottages combined due to being a party of 7. When we arrived we were given a warm welcome and shown around etc. Clear instructions for cooker etc was at hand. Well furnished and clean, most of all we enjoyed our stay and looking forward to going back hopeful this year more

The extended family fitted comfortably into the five bedrooms of Pitfield Cottage and our dogs were made welcome as well. We enjoyed a beautiful setting with fantastic views. Lovely to meet you all and the dogs. Appreciate you pointing out that 1 half of house seemed warmer than the other and you needed to use the convectors provided in the houses to boost the heat.
