We had a trip to Cape Verde over Chrismas 2013 and on Sal we booked this appartment.
The appartment was as described - fully furnished and very functional. The pool was a bit cold for our taste and we prefered swimming in the sea. The walk to the beautiful Santa Maria beach was less than 10 minutes (I guess less than 500m), and the centre was also a walking distance away. I recommend bringing a shade with you, and for us it was the Ikea foldable tent that did the trick. (If you buy it, practice folding it before you go on holidays).
The Djadsal residence has a few minimarkets and quite a good selection of restaurants, so we actually found the location to be just right for us.
We flew to Sal from Boa Vista and thus we were already used to Cape Verdean attitute. We found Sal to be much more advanced, but still not as developed as we the Caribean, for example. Both islands are beautiful. Thus, if you can accept a little bit of Africa in Cape Verde, then it... more
