L'escale is a simple, charming holiday cottage a kilometre or two above Port Mathurin. Sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down each evening over the sea was a perfect way to relax. We have done luxury boutique hotels before and we really enjoyed the freedom of having our own cottage whilst still having someone to come in for...
