I found this cottage online thru a vacation rental search of the Eastport/Lubec Maine area. The price was comparable to other vacation rentals, that were not located directly on the ocean. The property is on Boyden Lake, on an old farm property that has been lovingly maintained.
The cottage is a short drive from the main farmhouse and barn, just steps away from the lake. It is a combination of camp and cottage and is not designed for year round use, so the interior is more 'camp like'. The furnishings were comfortable and cozy. We spent almost all our time on the beautiful wraparound porch. The pictures on the website just don't show it to the full potential. It was so relaxing to look out over the lake on a comfortable chair with a book - no television, no internet.
It is in a great location, close to Eastport, ME and to Canada. We made a drive to Bar Harbor ME for the day and it was about 2.5 hours away.
The galley kitchen is fully equipped and you can find...
