Our cottage is on Peaks Island, an easy 20-minute ferry ride across Casco Bay from downtown Portland, Maine. The island is an unspoiled and quiet family vacation spot offering beaches, fishing, kayaking, tennis, sailing lessons for kids and plenty of opportunities for safe bike riding and walking. Also available are history tours via golf cart, three restaurants, a grocery store and a gift shop. In Portland itself you'll find all types of restaurants, wonderful bakeries, movies, schooner and whale watching trips, and a fine art museum.
