Enjoy morning coffee on the screened-in lanai, overlooking lush landscaping and our private swimming pool. Toast Sanibel's glorious sunsets on our private, shell-filled Gulf beach. Experience the charm that is Breakers West: a family-friendly, 18-unit complex, close to shopping, dining and island adventures, yet quiet and peaceful, a world away from noise and crowds.

    We're constantly working to "feather the nest" with at least one major project each year, and frequent additions to the "little niceties" like board games and puzzles, videos and decor.

    Breakers West is located on the Gulf-side of West Gulf Drive, about 100 yards from our private beach on the Gulf of Mexico, on the quiet, western end of Sanibel Island. The building (just 18 units on 3 floors), sits perpendicular to the Gulf, and offers sweeping views of lush lawn and landscaping.

    Sanibel itself is a shrimp-shaped, neotropical barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, "rooted" in place by mangroves, palms and seagrass. it lies just off the coast of Fort Myers, in Southwest Florida. Sanibel is, by law, a "sanctuary island" for native plants and wildlife; over 75% of the island remains undeveloped. There are no stoplights or streetlights; buildings cannot rise higher than 4 stories. Bicycles are a common form of transportation; 20-plus miles of biking-hiking/shared-use paths cross the island.

B-2 was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The location was convenient to the beach as well as restaurants. Do not expect reliable internet service. We were able to connect our devices to the wifi hub all week, but the hub wasn't able to connect to the internet. more

Susan and Andrew were very friendly. College roommate and I planned a vacation together. We were both very pleased at the proximity of the beach. The condo overlooks the pool. Excellent shelling. We found many live welks but put them back in the water. more

We had a great time. Very convinent because the condo was fully stocked with toys and beach supplies. Great location and will stay again. more
