Good things first, because good things there are. St. Francis House is a neat, compact two-bedroomed property, well-equipped, with a kitchen/diner and bathroom obviously recently modernised. It's on a main road, but not a very busy one; still, you won't be sitting outside much, for there is no yard to speak of. There is a bar directly opposite, which might bother people who sleep more lightly than I do. One or two of the kitchen fittings showed a tendency to drop off the wall at the slightest provocation. Only eight blocks from central Durango, and a small food store on the opposite corner.
The cleaning charges are surprisingly high, almost 25% of the rental regardless of how short your stay is, but this seems to be a peculiarity of rentals in Durango. It would be nice to have an explanation of that.
