I stayed here for 4 weeks for a research visit to the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This studio is situated in Rockrige, which was really quiet despite being a minute's walk from College Avenue (the main drag). It was also very handy for Rockridge BART and the LBNL shuttle Rockridge Route, which leaves from the BART station.
The main room itself was a generous size with really fast Wi-Fi and a comfortable double bed. The shower room was excellent and nicely decorated. The kitchenette was on the small side but the main table served as a good extension to the kitchen area. (This would unlikely be a problem for short stays anyway.) One thing to note is that access is not step-free. The garden is beautiful.
In terms of amenities, there is a Safeway about 5 minutes' (slow) walk away at the junction of College and Claremont Avenues and there's a Trader Joe's near the BART station. There are plenty of restaurants along College Avenue.
