We stayed here for five days, and just the path to the cottage "had me" before we even opened the door. It was a lovely walk through a garden with gum drop trees, mounds of heather, flowers and bushes, all beautifully manicured with a contemplative feel to it. The trellis of white roses out the back door catching the morning sun greeted us every morning and I miss it even now. Upon entering the cottage, we were greeted with fresh flowers, a fire that automatically turned on to chase the evening chill, and a welcome package from the rental agent to help us settle in. (Including tide charts!)
An open floor plan with a fine looking bed, sitting area, tiny kitchen and adequate bath promised a cozy stay. But opening the curtains of the two front picture windows overlooking the cove in the front yard made us gasp. It was absolutely stunning - the waves were rolling into the sandy cove right in front of us. We could not believe our good fortune.
