This classic mountain cabin, which we have named 'Mt. Elwell,' is located at the edge of the northern Sierra Nevada's Mohawk Valley, just a few miles outside of Graeagle/Blairsden. We are 1 hour west from Reno, 50 miles north of Truckee, and 2.5 hours from the Sacramento area. Mt. Perfect for families and small groups, this is a great place to unplug, unwind and relax, while experiencing a taste of a bygone era. The... Read more

Just need to bring the food. Our stay was a great combination of relaxation and hiking, etc. in the local area, which has so much to offer. The hosts were perfect. Wished... more

Service was great, questions answered quickly. Great advice on restaurants in area. Kitchen well stocked. Cabin rustic and comfortable and clean. Bed super comfortable, wanted to bring it home. Easy access to Plumas Eureka park for hiking. Even walking around property was more like hiking than walking, but easy access from parking to cabin. Beautiful place to sit and think... more
