Long a favourite destination, the Costa del Sol offers clean beaches and unbeatable sunshine. Torremolinos attracts a younger crowd, with sweeping beaches, shopping centres and thriving discos. Fuengirola is more family-friendly. There are plenty of water sports on offer, and pedal-boats for the family to enjoy.

The huge balcony with great views really makes this upstairs flat. The accommodation is comfortable and has all you need but the real attraction here is the large balcony with views of the mountains, the surrounding gardens and - just - the sea. Lack of air conditioning might trouble some holidaymakers but we found the fan heaters adequate for our needs. The fairly steep steps up to the apartment would make it unsuitable for anybody disabled - a pity because once inside you could enjoy whole days on the sunny balcony. The steps, which lead to the road, might probably make it inadvisable for families with young children. We didn't notice any information on Nerja in the apartment - not a problem for us but that could be helpful for newcomers. more

We have been to the area before so knew where we wanted to stay. Booking the apartment was easy and the owner happily responded to our emails/enquiries.

The property was clean and tidy and well furnished. The balcony/terrace was very large with views down in to Nerja town and up to the hills behind. The only drawbacks we found was that there was a microwave but no oven (but not everyone wants to cook on holliday). Also, unlike the majority of apartments we stayed in there was no information pack/folder, which we would have found extremely useful (ie, what is where, user guides for the washing machine, microwave etc, contact numbers).

It was within easy walking distance of the wonderful pool, bars and local supermarket. Access was easy, with approx 12 steps up to the door, which was important to us as my partner has some mobility issues.

We always hire a car and the drive down in to Burriana and Nerja town takes less than 10 mins. There is also a very...

The newly refurbished apartment comprises of two bedrooms, sleeping 4, fully equipped kitchen having fridge/freezer, washing machine, ceramic hob, microwave etc, lounge/diner with cable TV. The newly fitted bathroom consists of short bath, shower, sink unit and wc.
The lounge and main bedroom have french doors leading on to the large Southwest facing terrace allowing dining alfresco, with superb views overlooking the sea and mountains. The magnificent swimming pool is open from easter until the end of October, with a lifeguard in attendance at all times, there is internet and phone access, San juan has a local supermarket.
