My partner and myself stayed for a week in Aughvannagh Cottage in early September. The cottage is beautiful with modern facilities yet still has all of its old character. We loved waking in the morning to the sound of the brook outside our bedroom window. The cottage feels very private with rolling mountains and forests on all sides but within minutes by car you can be at one of the local villages. We visited Glanmalure Lodge for a pint of Guinness on one of the evenings. A great get-away that is so close to Dublin, and a great spot to rediscover Wicklow.
