Left Mesa Sunday morning for a one night getaway. First stop, The Pancake House on Camelback just west of Fashion Square. Absolutely 5* potatoe pancakes, bring a appetite! Rolled up Hwy 17 with a fuel stop in Camp Verde, and off to Sedona via the Cottonwood route.
As a limousine driver I have dropped many guests off at Enchantment Resort, but never explored the grounds. A stunning, phote opp resort tucked in a canyon surrounded by soaring red rocks. We decided to have a bloody mary and relax on the deck and absorb the scenery. Little pricey, $ 36.15.
Arrived at our destination, The Lodge at Sedona, south end of town, 2 blocks off the main road. Quaint, stone buildings, surrounded by soaring pines whistling in the wind. Views of the mountains are exceptional, grounds very peaceful and tidy. Our suite, while not large, was most comfortable.
