    3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4
On the bank of the the Rio Colorado, this house allows one the opportunity to enjoy local attractions, such as the central farmers market, CATIE, botanical garden, white water rafting, and be in a typical tico neighbourhood . A large deck overlooks the river, a perfect setting for reading or relaxing, and at night the sound of rushing water is accompanied by frogs and night birds in the 40 foot bamboo trees lining the river. A large swimming pool and several "pulperías" are a 5 minute walk away; the town centre and all shopping a 15 minute walk. Recommended for those who want to appreciate the local culture and also have access to all tourist attractions and shopping easily

We stayed and rented this house in Turrialba for 7 months (January - August, 2013). We highly recommend this house for the following reasons:

1. Location/convenience - Turrialba is a great town in the Central Valley. It was a very nice, liveable area that had a rather comfortable feel. Within walking distance to this house are several pulperias (little convenience stores), a bakery, the town center, a gym (Gym Snake -- it's on Facebook), a local swimming pool, the local university, and lots more. All the neighbors are friendly and the shop owners helpful. Within a 10 minute walk from the house, there is an outdoor farmers' market all day Friday and Saturday, year-round. It's totally fun and the produce is local. There are several banks in town, all within walking distance from the house. ATM machines available 24x7.

2. Safety - Turrialba was very safe. We never had a single problem with any sort of crime. All the houses in Turrialba (and frankly all Costa Rican...
