What a wonderful place to stay! The photos of this little house do not do it justice at all. It is modern, clean, well equipped, private, peaceful and not too far from amenities. And best of all, there is Jose, who looks after the place and is a wonderful man! He came to us every morning and asked if everything was okay, if we slept well and did we need anything, then he stayed to chat, has enough English to make himself understood but as we are learning Spanish he was more than happy to help us with the language. One day he took us around the coffee plantation then back to his house to meet his wife and 3 boys and gave us a cup of coffee made with the beans from the plantation.
The area is very picturesque, not very touristy and not far from Volcano Poas and La Paz Waterfalls. On our way to the Volcano we saw a sloth hanging from a telegraph wire!!
We had a wonderful stay here and would love to go back.

Management response:

Thank you for your review and we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. We hope you or your friends come back and visit us in Costa Rica in the future. We are jealous you saw a sloth so close to the property that's great! Kim and Michael more

What can I say about the Bambu Casita...

Well we were quite unsure of what to expect and being our very first trip to Costa Rica we were not sure whether we wanted to book a rental on the ocean or in the hills. Our conversations with Kim the owner were very quick and attentive, and there was something comforting in spending some time on an organic coffee farm versus the fast loud pace of a beachfront somewhere living like a typical tourist.

We landed a day late in Costa Rica after a rough couple of flights and we utilized our directions provided to get to the location from the Airport which is about a half hour if you know where you're going. The roads in Costa Rica are basically a spaghetti road to spaghetti road however you get your bearings and your journey is easier each time.

We met with the grounds keeper Jose whom lives nearby and he guided us to our retreat. Jose is AWESOME, and loves to talk and share stories and help whenever possible. The...
