Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, on a small cobble stone lane in the heart of the city, you will find your home away from home. This beautifully restored Machiya retains its old world charm and provides insight into the old way of life in Japan.

It is centrally located for sightseeing, with many of Kyoto's famous temples and shrines, shopping, dining and entertainment districts close-by. There are lots of restaurants, supermarkets and shops within walking distance. You can walk to Gion in about 20 minutes. The Shijo station for the Karasuma subway line is a 10 minute walk away, while the Karasuma station for the Hankyu Kyoto subway line is also a 10 minute walk. The closest bus stop is a 5 minutes walk (Shijo Nishi-no-Toin Stop). To the main Kyoto train station it's only a $10 cab fare. We also have bicycles so yo...

There are good restaurants nearby- amazing dim sum nearby, a supermarket. Having the bikes gave us so much freedom to explore further afield...
