Our group of 7 stayed at the Tanawin Resort in August 2012 and could not have asked for a better experience. The building has an amazing view of the beach and rest of the island. Because it's not next to the beach, the area is very quiet at night. They provide free transportation to and from D Mall every hour which we used every day.
We stayed in Unit 11, which was large enough for 7 people comfortably. The unit was clean and amenities were very nice. The balcony was very large and had great views. Plus the rooftop areas was just one floor up and a nice place to relax and take in the view. It was nice to have a large refrigerator as well as stove, oven, microwave, plus dishes and silverware. There was also free wi-fi included throughout the property. When planning the trip, we could stay here for the same price as getting 3 hotel rooms and we wouldn't have gotten all of the extras.
