We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Riad Shaden. Yussuf and Said could not have been more helpful and friendly, the bed was comfortable, the
2 meals we ate in the Riad were delicious, the water was hot, the atmosphere relaxed. We found the roof terrace on the last day , nice place to hang out.
Getting to the Riad was 'interesting' . We followed a chap who had a sort of cart with our cases along winding alleys wondering if we would ever find our way . The area Riad Shaden is located in is very much in the heart of the Medina, not at all touristy, a little unnerving on that first night but a great opportunity to see local businesses, ordinary people going about their daily lives. Staying in the area helped to make us feel ( only a little bit of course) part of the scene rather than simply gawping visitors. more
