This location has two guest cabins and thankfully we stayed in "The Boathouse" as opposed to its run-down twin cabin "Mother of Ducks" which our friends stayed in. The latter cabin requires a major makeover to make it more comfortably inhabitable. This resulted in our friends visiting us for meals in a more practical and pleasant environment.
The surrounds were idyllic, peaceful and relaxing -- a great antidote for the hustle and bustle of the city. However the noise of tree branches touching the surrounds of our cabin during windy weather was of some annoyance especially when trying to sleep.
Upon our arrival it was apparent that the cabins were in need of better upkeep. Our cabin, whilst pleasantly designed, had too much glass (no curtains) and many gaps (above and below the folding doors) to effectively keep out the very cold weather notwithstanding we had an indoor fire going.
