The Cherry Tree House sits on a plateau 40m above the Shotover river. Beyond the river and to the north the main view is the coronet ski field 10 kms away.
Trelawn has a sheltered micro climate due to the Queenstown hill being the southern boundary to the property. Most guests will take a photo of the house with the huge big mountain back drop behind.
A large lawn and garden offers many places to sit and relax. The Gazebo and Jacuzzi are popular places to relax in the evening, there is a stereo in the gazebo.
A 5 minute drive will have you back in Queenstown, or if you drive across the river and head to Arrowtown 3 minutes north you will find one of New Zealands best restaurants, this being the "Gantleys" restaurant.
Trelawn Place is surrounded on 3 sides by the Shotover river, see our photos of the location. Originally this location was a gold mining claim. You can see the old miners cottage on the site, as well as the old diggings that the Chinese miners did. You are free to walk... more
