Originally built over 200 year ago, and used as a barn until 2000, this award winning environmentally-friendly, 4 star stone cottage, retains many original features plus the comforts of modern living. It is furnished and equipped to a high standard. The accommodation includes modern kitchen, lounge, separate dining room, single downstairs bedroom (no facilities), double en suite bedroom (upstairs) and twin en suite bedroom (upstairs). There are lovely views over the Linacre Valley, Walks from the Door, Large Garden with Patio, Offroad Parking and an excellent pub/restaurant across the road. The garden is shared with The Robins cottage.

The Swallows met all our expectations and easily accommodated our family group of three generations over the Bank Holiday weekend. It is very well equipped and furnished to a good standard. We stayed here with out 3 boys for a long Easter weekend. A great base to explore the Peaks, such thoughtful owners. Barbara baked us some buns and left a bottle of wine. Would definately go back. more

Downstairs comprises a comfortable lounge with settee, easy chairs, coffee tables and TV and DVD. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a separate dining room seating 6 with a door onto the patio. There is a single bedroom (not ensuite). Upstairs there is a double ensuite bedroom and a twin ensuite bedroom,The cottage retains some interesting original beams and a stone buttress.
