Can honestly say the moment I opened the door and stepped inside abhaile I felt the most relaxed stress free I have ever felt. The cottage has a beautiful living room which holds a historical ambience. The stove in the sitting room has an enchanting glow when it is lit and heats the whole cottage within minutes. This was my second time to stay at Abhaile Cottage, last time as a couple, this time with our 1 year old. On both occasions we found it perfect for relaxing and switching off or experiencing the lively nightly trad sessions in Doolin (which I'd highly recommend). We stayed for a week in August and wish we could back already. The cottage is as described with all mod cons but maintains a lovely country feel.
