    As seen on BBC TV news http://youtu.be/ZYHet6bPBVQ First offered for public rental in 2012, this has been the family holiday home since it was rebuilt in 2004. The Hustons have farmed this land for almost 200 years. Feel free to roam around the 50 acres.

    Rural doesn't have to mean basic..the farmhouse has cosy underfloor heating (October to May), Wi-Fi, real fires, TV with Freeview and DVD player and DVDs. There's a large farmhouse table in the kitchen, seating 10, and this opens into the lounge with a vaulted wooden ceiling with skylights and picture windows facing South and West. Off the kitchen is a Utility room, accessed via saloon swing doors, and housing a freezer, spare fridge, washing machine and separate tumble-drier.

    As this remains our family holiday home, it is equipped to a very high standard. Your welcome pack includes local bread, milk, tea and coffee. Wood, coal and firelighters are provided for the fires. The fire in the lounge is a cast-iron multi-fuel stove. It gets very hot and really heats up the area well, and there is no risk of sparks flying out.
    In the cosy living room there is a small open fire which is best run just on a little coal. Let the parents have upstairs and the children have downstairs bedrooms / shower room and everyone has their own space.
    Pets welcome - there is even a cat-flap if puss is feeling adventurous! Please keep dogs downstairs and off beds.
    This is a non-smoking house, though you are welcome to smoke outside.

    27 July 2013 to 10 August 2013 is the World Police & Fire Games, so early booking is recommended.

    Airport: Belfast International: 46.0 mi
    Railway: Coleraine: 3.1 mi
    Ferry: Larne: 51.6 mi
    Fly to Belfast International Airport or to Belfast City Airport. Hire a car there. The farm is about 75 mins drive or less.
    Or take a ferry from Scotland to Larne and drive - which will take under an hour from Larne.

    1.Drive to Coleraine. GPS postcode BT52 2PY. House number 67.
    2.Follow signs to Portrush.
    3.At 'Portrush Road roundabout' take road to Portrush.
    4.About 1 mile along farm lane is on right. On the LEFT are some houses including one with eagles on the gates.
    5.This is only the second long lane on the right from the roundabout.
    6.Farm is on the hill, clearly visible from road. White wooden posts at entrance with 65 and 67 on them.
    7.Drive to the top of the yard - the house door is red.

The homely nature of this beautiful property was the first thing to hit us. The vaulted ceiling in the open plan living area is stunning . Stayed in the farmhouse for two nights as part of my wifes birthday celebrations. Took our two sons aged 25 and 18 and our daughter aged 22 plus the dog Max. A MOST PLEASENT EXPERIENCE.
