Perched on beautiful Shapridge Hill at the end of a quiet track, Wren Cottage which is the perfect romantic getaway. The cottage is a haven of peace and tranquillity and the large wildlife garden enjoys stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Footpaths lead from the front door onto a vast network of Forest paths and tracks, you can literally walk for miles!

The cottage benefits from a large wildlife garden with its own birdhide and excellent views. Feeders are provided with plenty of nuts and seeds for you to top them up if you wish. If you love wildlife, you will love the garden, for example watching the swallows skimming the surface of the pond for insects in summer and witnessing the house martins mobbing a hobby overhead! .

It was perfect, really relaxing break. Cosy cottage in a lovely setting away from roads. You can walk straight in to the forest and surrounding countryside and has good views from the doorstep. The owner was very welcoming on arrival. more

We stayed in Wren Cottage for a week over Christmas with our dog and 2 cats! We visit the Forest of Dean regularly for daytrips but it was lovely to spend a whole week there, exploring new places. The cottage is well located with walks from the doorstep, or you have the option of an easy drive to other parts... more

We stayed for the weekend - not long enough though! A lovely cottage - very comfortable and cosy!.The views from the cottage are wonderful and so many walks from the doorstep. Wood burner was lovely during the evening - there was everything you needed in the cottage. Dog friendly to - wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage to others. We... more
