“Extraordinary - simply amazing”

I don't even know where to begin. My husband and I travel to Europe (from Canada) frequently. France is by far my most favourite place on the planet. We both prefer self catering accomocations and look for places that are special because of the location AND the character. I would definitely say we have very high standards. We are truly blessed to have found Les Sabots - which is the guest house associated with Chateau Villars. It is in a very small village - Villars, France near Brantome in the Perigord Vert. The setting is absolutely idyllic and the photos represent the home very well - possibly don't even do it justice! It is perfect for two couples as the two bedrooms are on literally opposite sides of the house each with their own bath and staircase, so the level of privacy is amazing - there's also a loft room on one side, so if you were travelling with teens or children there's plenty of space. The home has a huge living and dining room with lots of seating space which is on...

“EXCELLENT”

We stayed here for two weeks with our two young children - we all absolutely loved it. In fact we are returning again in 2012. It is common feature with many of the guest that we met here that a very large proportion are returing guests. The accomodation is immaculately restored and is very comfortable. It far enough away from Brantome to feel like you are away from it all, but then also close enough to for it to be convenient. On some evenings we would eat dinner at the Chateau which is very casal and relaxing. There is just something about drinking French Champagne and French Wine in France which isn't quite the same when replicated elsewhere anywhere else!!
