During your stay in this lovely place there is much to see and do. Visit the church of S. Luca Evangelic, unique among dozens of churches erected in past centuries. You will discover some paintings of Giovanni Bernardo Lama (XVI). You must visit the enchanted Marina of Praia where the palms wave welcome at the entrance to the tremendous gorge.

The "Antica Plagianum", facing east, allows you the opportunity to enjoy the sun and moonrise, while "Vettica Maggiore" facing west endows the pleasure to admire gorgeous sunsets against the background of the "Faraglioni" of Capri. The centre of the village offers many wonderful restaurants specializing in local dishes of sea food and fresh vegetables grown in Praiano. You will find bars and nightclubs in the village centre as well as the beautiful, intimate beaches of Praiano.

Villia Michara in Praiano has a great view looking out over the Bay. There are three separate bedrooms, and three bathrooms which makes it easy for getting ready. There is also a big kitchen with a big fridge, dishwasher and large table with also the
The location has plenty of restaurants, and bars and has a good bus route to neighbouring Positano and Amalfi.

Getting there is interesting though. We hired a car, but it was crazy driving. It is a spectacular drive, but The buses and tour buses drive towards you and don't get out of the way, so it can be a bit hairy!

If you decide to do travel around by public transport, the taxi fare from the airport is over 120 euros each way, and the buses stop at 8pm at night!

However the property is very nice. The sun shines on the terraces from 10am until sundown. It's set on three levels, so not suitable for people with walking difficulties, also to get to the sea involves a lot of steps too..at least 300. But...

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The house was really large and easily accomodated our family of 7. The kitchen was big and there was plenty of outdoor space. Having 3 full bathrooms was unexpected and much appreciated. The view of the sea was nice, but you could not see Positano or surrounding cliffs speckled with houses, which really makes the Amalfi coast spectacular. Wifi was available in the living room, kitchen, and upstairs entry way, but due to thickness of the walls, not available in the bedrooms. It was very convenient to have a dishwasher and large sink. The tiled floors were beautiful. The air conditioner and supplemental hot water machines were difficult to operate, with many steps in the process. We often did not have hot water. The bedroom downstairs, including living room, smelled really moldy and the people who slept there woke up with bad allergy symptoms. There was a dehumidifier, but it did not appear to be working.

The location was convenient... close to grocery stores, restaurants...
