    Location does not get any better than this. The house was divided into two independent units, but can be rented together. It 's perfect for two families traveling together, or a large family / group. You can share outdoor, barbecue, swim in the pool without being crowded.
    Tecognano is one of the most beautiful valleys in Tuscany. It is located 4 kilometers from the beautiful hilltop Etruscan town of Cortona. From Tecognano there is a foot path from the Roman era that will take you to Cortona in 40 minutes.

    Tecognano is very central and ideal for those who want to explore the wine regions of Tuscany or to make day trips to Arezzo, Florence, Perugia, Rome. Florence and Siena. The main highways are four miles away with a train station at Camucia 2 km away and Terontola Train Station 4 km away. (More trains at this station)
    There is also a car rental agency in Terontola with village shops and services.
    The farmhouse was built in the 18th century and sits on over 4 acres of private land. It 's very quiet and peaceful, with breathtaking views of the Val di Chiana. It 'been completely restored retaining all the original features: beautiful chestnut beam ceilings and handmade terracotta floors. It 's very traditional, very charming and very comfortable. Nestled amongst the hills and overlooking the Umbrian countryside (near Tuscany) is this quaint, 800 year old cobblestone home that has been lovingly restored by Alessio and his family. Alessio went out of his way to ensure that our stay was absolute perfection. He met us at the train station to ensure our quick arrival and coordinated ahead of time to have lunch ready by the time we arrived. His mother, who performs all of the cooking, prepared a four course meal that went far beyond our expectations. From the cured meats, specialty cheeses, delicious pastas, to the biscotti and homemade dolce wine (made by Alessio's father) we had the chance to experience a truly special, and authentic, Italian meal. The meal was so good that on the second day we asked to see how the meals were made. At our request, Alessio's mother, a loving Italian mother, was more than happy to bring us into the kitchen and to teach us to cook.
